What’s New for the 2019 RAM 1500?
The 2019 All-New RAM 1500 is the first year in the fifth generation of this powerful and well-loved truck. Completely redesigned for this year, the RAM 1500 is turning heads and has been awarded Truck Trend’s 2019 Pickup of the Year award. With six different trim levels to choose from, there is likely a version of this truck to fit everyone’s needs. The available options are known as the Limited, Laramie Longhorn Edition, Rebel, Laramie, Bighorn, and Tradesman.
Two of the priorities for 2019 were to make the RAM 1500 lighter while giving it a higher towing capacity and increased payload. Despite adding even stronger steel to the frame, this vehicle manages to be approximately 225 pounds lighter than previous models. The all-new RAM 1500 can tow anywhere from 11,200 and 11,500 pounds, depending on drivetrain and other options.
A new system known as eTorque appears on the all-new 2019 RAM 1500. The system stores electricity in a lithium battery. This will provide you with extra power in short bursts. It also helps the automatic start-stop engine work more efficiently and smoothly.
Inside the cabin, the RAM 1500 has more optional technology to offer consumers than ever before. The available infotainment system has a massive 12-inch screen that allows you to access the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto features. There are also multiple USB ports accessible to connect and keep all of your gear fully charged.
There is plenty of space in the new 1500 for both passengers and gear. The rear seats are now larger, making the ride more comfortable for those in the back. Not only are their dual glove boxes for your smaller items, but there are also large pockets in both the driver and passenger doors. You can also fold down the rear seats in this pickup to give yourself, even more, carrying space. The optional RamBox is still unique in this market segment.
